Attending the event were Deputy Prime Minister Mai V\u0103n Ch\u00ednh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguy\u1ec5n V\u0103n H\u00f9ng, Chairman of the National Assembly\u2019s Economic and Financial Committee Phan V\u0103n M\u00e3i, city leaders, and nearly 700 domestic and international delegates from 41 countries and territories.<\/p>\n

In his speech, Chairman Nguy\u1ec5n V\u0103n \u0110\u01b0\u1ee3c shared Ho Chi Minh City\u2019s new image, space, and potential with international friends:<\/p>\n

\u201cHo Chi Minh City stands as a modern megacity, the nation\u2019s leading dynamic economic and financial hub, with a rapidly developing transport and logistics infrastructure strongly connected regionally and internationally.<\/p>\n

A megacity where diverse cultures converge, where traditional identity harmonizes with modern and creative lifestyles.<\/p>\n

A megacity with a rich and distinctive history, featuring mountains, forests, rivers, seas, Vietnam\u2019s first island marine Ramsar site (C\u00f4n \u0110\u1ea3o National Park), and a UNESCO-recognized mangrove biosphere reserve (C\u1ea7n Gi\u1edd). A megacity gradually becoming a regional MICE hub while also an attractive, dynamic, and promising tourist destination,\u201d he affirmed.<\/p>\n

According to the HCMC Department of Tourism, the opening art performance themed \u201cVietnam Night \u2013 The Flow of Essence\u201d was one of the highlights of ITE HCMC 2025, serving as a cultural bridge where Vietnam\u2019s tourism and culinary heritage were showcased to delegates and guests, offering deeper insights into Vietnamese people and culture.<\/p>\n
